Why Smyths Stock Moves So Fast
A few reasons. First, Smyths prices are generally at or below RRP — they're not marking things up like some resellers. Second, they're the most well-known retailer for Pokemon in Ireland, so every collector checks there first. Third, new set releases can sell through their entire allocation within the first day.
For sets like Prismatic Evolutions, Mega Evolution, or any special collection, the window between "just restocked" and "sold out" can be as short as 15-20 minutes. If you're not getting alerts, you're relying on luck.
What About the Smyths Website?
The Smyths website shows online stock, which is managed separately from in-store inventory. Something can show as "out of stock" online while your local store has plenty.
